About Me

IMG_0871_edited.jpg

In September of 2021, I became a citizen of the United States. I used my voice to encourage and educate others on voter issues and why they should register to vote, even when I couldn't. I felt it was my civic duty to encourage others and to use my voice whenever I could. This passion led me into journalism where I continue to educate the public on important issues. Currently, I am a freelance journalist for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. I write about the largest issues in Georgia's healthcare system, mental health research, economic issues facing Atlanta's aging population, and the work of local businesses.

My passion has always been storytelling, whether that's through a lens, through articles, or through creative pieces. My goal is to create content that reaches across cultural boundaries and provides access  to underserved communities.  I am originally from South India, but I grew up in Marietta, Georgia.
My love for photography, videography, and nature conservation sparked in the depths of the Indian jungles. While on safari, I would take photos of every animal or bird that we encountered. As a professional, I hope to grow in all of these facets of communication and increase the impact of my work beyond the page or screen.
